We have a packed schedule of regular Bristol business networking events that are open to everyone with an interest in growing their business and meeting like-minded people.
We know that as busy entrepreneurs and business owners, your time is precious and it͛s important the events you attend are relevant, targeted and meet your specific needs. That’s why we recently carried out a survey to discover the topics you are keen to learn more about and the Bristol business networking events you want to attend.
The results made for interesting reading. You told us that you’d love to attend events that focus on core business skills, such as writing business plans and learning how to negotiate more effectively. But you’d also like to develop some of the softer skills which include learning to manage the work/life balance better and getting to grips with how to network more effectively.
Following your feedback, we’ve created the Origin Workspace ‘Secrets of Business Success’ event series. And we’re delighted to kick off the series with ‘How to become a more confident and effective networker,’ presented by Melissa Kidd.
Melissa, an experienced entrepreneur and professional, will be sharing her knowledge of how to get the most out of networking. While creating new opportunities and building relationships can be exciting, many people find the process of networking daunting, uncomfortable and frustrating.
Melissa attended many networking events when she was starting out in her career and really struggled to gain success. She will be sharing the mistakes she made, so we can learn from them!
If you’ve ever been to a networking event but didn’t get much out of it, if you are unsure about how to approach a group of strangers, or politely move on from a conversation, then this workshop is for you.
You’ll learn how to prepare for an event, approach people with confidence, how to have an
effective five step networking conversation and learn how to follow up after an event to develop a relationship.
This event is ideal for entrepreneurs, freelancers or those running small businesses who are seeking the skills to raise their profile, talk about their new venture in a way that͛s meaningful and memorable and spot new business opportunities.
