Here at Origin Workspace we’re busy getting ready for a big event in our diary this Autumn – Business Showcase South West!

This free, full-day event takes place at Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium and this year marks its tenth anniversary. Over the last decade, the event has become a major part of the business calendar in the South West, providing brilliant opportunities to make new contacts, learn from other businesses, find new suppliers and hear from business leaders.

We started Origin Workspace with one goal in mind: to encourage Bristol’s business talent to grow. So, we’re proud to get behind this event – it’s so important to the local business community, which is why we’ve chosen to be a sponsor this year.

Not only will we be going along to the show, our workspace will be there too! Why attend Business Showcase South West?

After checking out the coworking space pop up, make your way to the main exhibition hall, where you’ll find 250 business exhibitors from across the region. This is a brilliant chance to widen your local business networks and to talk face-to-face with potential suppliers and partners.

Make sure you book yourself onto one of the hugely popular speed networking meetings too – they are free, but it’s important to book as you’ll need a ticket to take part, and spaces are limited. The sessions are hosted by professionals and give you a unique opportunity to meet lots of new business contacts in a dedicated timeframe.

We’re keen to catch some of the keynote speakers – this year’s line-up includes:

• • Mark Wright, Climb Online– an influential entrepreneur and winner of BBC’s The Apprentice. Mark will talk about how he has built his digital marketing business Climb Online to three UK office locations, a customer base of 400 plus and a second-year turnover in excess of £4 million.
  • Michelle Michael MBE– a highly experienced business woman, qualified commercial lawyer and a director of the Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare, Michelle is currently involved with 15 companies at director level. Hear Michelle’s advice and insights on overcoming adversity and challenges in business and put your questions to her in a Q&A.

Another key draw at the show is the programme of workshops throughout the day. Run by Google’s Digital Garage, these offer a fantastic opportunity to pick up some free advice on how to gain a competitive advantage in the ever-changing digital landscape
