When Karis Copp, Managing Director of Karis Copp Media, first arrived at Origin Workspace, it was as a solo founder looking for a new place to work after her previous co-working space closed. What she found wasn’t just a desk, it was a community.
Now, with a growing team and a private office at Origin, Karis reflects on how the space has supported her company’s evolution — and why Origin remains a key part of the business journey.

Karis Copp Media is a B2B PR and communications agency that specialises in print and packaging technology. With a global client base and deep industry knowledge, Karis and her team help businesses craft strong narratives and reach the right audiences.
Why Origin Workspace?
“When my old co-working space closed, I started looking for somewhere that felt professional but still had personality. I found that at Origin,” says Karis.
Initially joining as a dedicated desk member, Karis quickly fell in love with the space, the people, and the energy. Within a year, it was time to grow the team — and upgrading to a private office at Origin just made sense.
“It doesn’t feel like just an office space here,” she explains. “There is a real community feel, always an event or activity to look forward to, and a fantastic wellness and fitness offering. As we continue to grow our team, Origin is definitely going to be a big draw, and I’m sure a lot of the businesses in the building feel the same! .”
Designed for Growth and Flexibility
One of the things Karis appreciates most is the adaptable nature of the workspace. With two team members based in the office most days and one working remotely, they’ve intentionally configured their office layout for both collaboration and focus.
“The modular design of the offices means we can make it our own, and when we’re ready, we can scale into a larger space,” Karis says. “That flexibility is so important as we grow.”
Creativity Needs Movement
For Karis, the ability to move around — whether it’s stepping into a phone booth for focus, joining others in the lounge area for a quick brainstorm, or taking a walking meeting in nearby green spaces — plays a big role in staying creative and productive.
“There’s research showing how movement boosts creativity, and I really believe in that,” she notes. “Even walking on a treadmill in the Origin gym helps generate new ideas! And on sunny days? The roof terraces are a go-to for a quick reset.”
Finding the Right Work Rhythm
When asked whether she prefers a collaborative or quiet workspace, Karis answers without hesitation: “Both!”
“It depends on the day — sometimes I need to bounce ideas off people, and sometimes I need complete focus. Having different zones to support those needs is invaluable.”
Looking Ahead
As Karis Copp Media continues to grow, Origin Workspace remains a key part of the company’s DNA. “It’s more than an office, it’s a place that inspires us, supports our health and wellbeing, and gives us room to grow.”
